Valentino Shoes Sale comes to

Let's get something out of the way right now: The cat-eye is a classic. It doesn't need to be knocked off its pedestal, and we'd argue that it is as close to perfect as one makeup style can get. But, sometimes it's good to shake things up and give our other friends in the animal kingdom some cosmetics love, too. Enter: the swan-eye.

We spotted this dramatic look during Paris couture Fashion Week at Fred Sathal's runway show, and we were instantly hooked. The gunmetal shade begins with a geometric edge on the inner corner of the eye before winging out, swan-like, along the top and bottom outer corners. To us, this looks pretty darn close Valentino Sale to Natalie Portman's visage in Black Swan u2014 without the side of crazy.

Oh, and fair warning: This isn't a look for the faint of heart. We tried to come up with ways to tone down the swan-eye but came up short. So, if you're going to go for it, make sure you keep the rest of your look fairly neutral. Just add some subtle contouring, a touch of powder to your brows, and a dab of nude lipstick. But, when it Valentino Shoes Sale comes to those wings, the bigger, the better u2014 which is the mantra we like to use when it comes to eye makeup. Who knows? The swan may edge out the cat as your new go-to animal inspiration.
